Prayer Team

OUR MISSION: The prayer team ministry is charged with the responsibility of keeping prayer as the priority in everything we do at Cornerstone. We meet regularly to plan prayer opportunities for the church and invite anyone who has a heart for prayer to join with us as we recognize its significance both individually and corporately in seeking the Lord’s will in our lives and for our church.

1st Thursday Corporate Prayer----Come join others in a time of extending, praise, prayer and worship on the 1st Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM in the sanctuary. Once a quarter the corporate prayer time is followed by a potluck meal and extended fellowship in the fellowship hall.

Quarterly Prayer Vigils----1^st Saturday of each quarter from 10:00 – 5:00p.m.

Prayer Team Meetings----meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:30 PM at the church to update current activities and plan future prayer related opportunities.

Silent Corporate Prayer Time----three to four times during the year, time is set-aside during a weeknight evening to open up the sanctuary for a time of silent prayer, followed by fellowship time with a dinner in the fellowship hall organized by the Hospitality.

Neighborhood Prayer Walk---twice a year, an opportunity to reach out to the community surrounding the church working hand in hand with the Evangelism Team.

Leadership Prayer---encourage volunteers from the congregation to prepare a written prayer asking for prayers for the church leaders. The prayer is provided in the Sunday Worship Bulletin on the 2^nd and 4^th Sundays of each month and included in the Pastors e-mails to the congregation.

Prayer Cells---encourage small groups of two or three individuals to come to pray on a regular basis in the Prayer Room at Church.

National Day of Prayer---in conjunction with this National Sunday, assist the Worship Team in presenting special prayers and shared information during Sunday Worship in May.

National Prayer for the Oppressed ---in conjunction with this National Christian Sunday, assist the Missions Team in presenting special prayers and shared information for those oppressed throughout the World during Sunday Worship in the fall.

Easter and Christmas Seasons---assist the Worship Team in preparing special prayer opportunities during these two highly visible times of the year.
